our school was robbed

It is just so sad and I am very upset about how we are addressing this matter but our school's faculty room was robbed and the spacial dynamic space with all the bean bags and balls were vandalized and throne all over campus (that's 10 acres of land).

Please put us in your thoughts....there is so much craziness out there and our children need protection more than ever.

My heart goes out to you all-how sad for the sanctity and haven of your school. And how sad for the people who did it.
Just yesterday I was telling my mother that she didn't have to worry about leaving her purse in my daughters cubby while we visited her waldorf class. "this is the LAST place someone would take your purse, Mom!". Situations like this can really extinguish one's faith and hope.
Buy perhaps just getting your kids out there to retrieve those items and lovingly fix up all that was vandalized-nursing their beloved school back to health, so to speak-will give them a sense of power and “ownership” and the feeling that no matter what a person might do, they cannot break the Spirit. Encouraging forgiveness for those SAD people who perpetuated this may help as well.
Sending hugs and good vibes your way.

oh i am so sorry. That is such a horrible feeling. I wonder if there is some ritual you could do with the adults/children to take back the power of the space! Is there anything you guys need?

happy to help in anyway!

Hi, again! I am so sorry to hear about your school's loss. On the bright side-- vandalism is not the worst thing happening in schools these days... Sometimes negative events like this end up reminding us how precious our healthy, vibrant communities are.

Long time no blogging! Do you remember me? We moved to Michigan and are now 10 minutes from a Waldorf school. I will be checking in again, as my internet connection (hopefully) improves. :)

I hope there wasn't to much damage.

Same thing happened at Katie's school last year. They got the guy who did it. The idiot cut his leg (or arm?) and severed an artery when he smashed the the glass window in Katies class room. There was so much blood everywhere, they had to get the fire brigade to come out to hose the blood away. There was a trail of blood from the school up to the highway where he collapsed. That was where the police picked him up. It happened early morning - locals were out walking their dogs and saw the blood and called the police. It was lucky for him that he didn't bleed to death. It really freaked Katie's poor teacher out but most of it was cleaned up before the kids got to school. So the kids did't see the worst of it. But the flow form has a big chip taken out of it..:(

The weird thing is, Katie's school is really out of the way from every thing the highway and train station. There are a few houses around but it is in the bush. The guy had no connection to the school either.
Just vandals from memory I think there was more than one guy.
