waldorf lantern walk

So I have to make lanterns with my 9th grade class......remember I am their mentor this year...
They are learning Japanese this year and I had this cute idea to have them make lanterns out of take out boxes.

I used wax paper (kite paper or star making paper) and some black paper for the shapes....and glue

So here is what I created :) it's so easy....I feel kind of bad about how easy it is....but we only have 1 hour for making our lanterns.....so this is what we have this year....maybe next year we can make a cloth lantern with tassels

I think that turned out really cute! I would have never thought of take-out boxes as lanterns. Very clever.

Love the lanterns. So simple. Thanks so much for the award. I'm super-busy right now and haven't had time to acknowledge via a blog post. Thanks for thinking of me. I really like your goings on too!
