7th grade wet felted renaissance hats

I think that we should all throw in some ideas on craft ideas.....if you have an idea let it out!

I just got a question on how to wet felt hats. we wet felt hats in 7th grade.

So I use the book "Felting by Hand" by Anne Einset Vickrey

I've made some felted hats using a kit from harrisville. All three of us wear them in the winter. Hels is not very excited about making a Renaissance hat. She loves felting but thinks the hats are embarrasing to wear :)

Very good sites - I am really bad at wet felting. I need to practice.
I love your bit about the old woman school teacher rules - what a hoot. I have some on general "Manners" of a woman that are just as funny.
I have been meaning to ask - how did you do plant dyeing in one classroom time period? I want to try but I feel like 45 minutes isnt enough... I guess its all in the prep?

Thanks for the links! I also love the link in your side bar for "Earth Guild", I could spend a million dollars there.

Hmm, I left a comment a few days but most not have come through. I really appreciate all these links, this will really be put to use by us. I also love the link to Earth Guild, my new favorite store of all times, next to Lehmans.
